For several reasons, it's time for me to head back in the direction of the States.

On the side where I was ascending, the terrain went from rocky to boggy, and then stone-filled. 

More than half of the trip is already behind me.

Today's walk required some serious work. On balance, I would say it was worth it for the views.

It doesn't really matter whether it's flat and dry or hilly and wet, I'm still going.
